Born in Montreal, Quebec to a passionate Italian father and a creative Russian mother. My earliest exposure to photography was thanks to my mother who worked at Fuji most of her career and always brought home the newest cameras (guess who got to tinker around with them?). I realized early on the immense pleasure I felt capturing life, and time through the lens.
Fast track to 2002 after graduating from Ryerson University in Toronto with a BFA in film production and photo arts, I hopped on a plane and fulfilled my dream to live in Italy. I landed my first job as a news and event videographer and editor where I learned early on the skills of brief yet strong storytelling. This would later payoff when 5 years later I would have to navigate the birth of social media and the beginning of quick content-driven era.
In 2008, I returned to Montreal and pivoted to pursue a career in art direction. I went on to further develop my craft by entering the fun and competitive world of Fashion, working for recognized Canadian retailer Groupe Dynamite. I began as a jr. photo art director for Garage and Dynamite Brands. In 2010, I became the lead for the Dynamite as Photo Art Director and Team Manager. Working very closely with Marketing and Product Concept teams, over the years my focus was to forecast photo trends, conceptualize seasonal campaigns including look-books and videos, work to produce content for digital and print, manage and motivate interdisciplinary teams, help in brand image repositioning and was part of the launch and growth of their e-commerce photography. (take a breath here!)
In 2020, I decided to venture into a new endeavour and offer my expertise as an art director and creative producer, to lend my strong eye, know how and direction to other growing brands as the demand for online content increases.
On top of being a photo and video passionate, I am a mother to 2 crazy and wonderful kids and, through it all, I still try to find the time to pick up my camera because life is beautiful.
